Let's Get CookIt is an app for saving and cooking recipes. This page explains what data the app and its server handle, and why.
Everything you save (recipes, photos, notes, your shopping list, collections and cooking history) stays on your phone. Nothing is sent to our server.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google, and store them to identify your account. Your recipes, photos, notes, shopping list, collections and cooking history are then stored on our server so they sync between your devices.
When you import a recipe from a link, the app downloads that web page directly from the website to read the recipe. Screenshots you import are read on your phone and are not uploaded.
Our server and its backups are hosted by Hetzner in the European Union. Backups are kept for 14 days. Photos are stored with Cloudflare R2, also in the European Union.
There are no ads and no trackers or analytics. Your data isn't sold or shared with anyone, other than the services named above that make the app work.
You can delete your account in the app under Settings › Delete account. This removes your account and everything stored for it on the server straight away; backups containing it expire within 14 days. See also how to delete your account.
